Two Column Resume
Now a days getting into a job or getting
hired by a company is not an easy thing. The main thing that a company or a
recruiter is searching from a applicant is the uniqueness. You may feel
surprised to my words that your life as a professional depends on your one or two page Resume/CV.
The main Purpose of your Resume is to lend you an Interview
not the job. And then the purpose of the interview is to lend you a job. Many
of the people or the youngsters are feeling complicated to differentiate these
two things. Most of the people or graduates or freshers find much of their time
before the interview to prepare for the interview and less of their time on
writing the resume.
No recruiter is trying to find a big bang
from you because he don't them. He need a person or a candidate who has the
qualities like unique thinking, problem solving, fresh minded, loyal. If you prove
these qualities to a recruiter you may have 98% of the chances to get
recruited. The remaining 2% depends on your academics and some bla bla bla.....
Many of us are mainly concentrating on this 2% rather than 98%. do the result
is ..... as you may not expect.
This is not my topic or the post actually but
some facts really... A resume will be seen by a recruiter if it contains unique
content. So for this reason do not copy single line from any other resumes. I
saw from a group of collage students who are about to attend a recruitment
drive, one thing I have observed from them is that 99% of their Objective is
same, means copy--paste, some of them even copy their course percentages and
awards listing too. My suggestion is not to copy any thing. If you are not
getting an idea of how to write an objective then think what are your goals and
frame a sentence that will reflect your goals and your attitude, this is my
best suggestion for any one and mainly for the graduates. You are not requested
to write an essay as an objective, if you are unique in nature you can expose
about yourself in a Single line, seems to be crazy but true.
Many pages in resume will have negative
impact on you. Reduce poisonous words such as 'positive in nature', reading
books', don't ever never think the recruiter or the panel people are fools of
you do so you will get fooled. So Be unique, think unique, write unique.
The main theme of this post is two column resume . It is a
resume which many of the MNC are giving high priority. This kind of resumes
usually have unique look among the others and gave positive impact for
shortlisting. Their mode of presenting details is clear and no clumsy involved.
So recruiter easily understands your details.
A Simple Two column resume is given below,
